Bossed Up and In Charge; Suits...
Hey boo things! What’s popping? Trusting we all had an amazing week. The weekend is here so let’s unwind and get our bodies ready for the new week ahead. Not to take up much of your time, let me get straight to it. Suit up and lets make some boss moves!
Over the past few months I’ve been wearing a lot of suits and I must say that I have developed a new love for them. See, power suits are my thing now! Don’t get me wrong, suits have always been my thing. With me growing up in Jamaica, wearing a suit to work; be it a skirt or pants, was something you would always see.
Suits command respect and makes you look well put together; they are a sign of female empowerment. They can be of a variety of color and style but gone are the days when we only wear a suit to work. Suits have evolved into more than work clothes and they can be dressed up or down to suit the occasion or event you are attending. Suits are no longer just a male thing, but females have been killing the fashion scenes in suits has well.
This season, suits are trending, and you should get into it. The power suits have powered up and won’t be running out of power any time soon. Go from business deals to the social playground and still maintain power. How bad can you mess up a matching blazer and pants outfit? Not too bad if you ask me.
Get creative, add your own flair and sass to this trend. Add a plain top, a pop of color or some prints under your blazer. If you are bold, then you can go with just blazer and pants, no under shirt. Into street style? Then add chunky bottom sneakers and you are well on your way to be in the stylish mix.
Brighter brights, florals, and prints; suits come in all of these. They are eye-catching and you can easily transition from a daytime to nighttime look in minutes. Be it an office look, cocktail look or casual smart chic look; you can not go wrong choosing a suit.
With this suit trend, women have a wide variety of options; color, style, print and fabric. The decision is yours to make. How will you suit up this season? Let me know in the comments!
