In Living Colors...

Hey beautiful people! Hope y’all are feeling as vibrant as I am looking today…

Its beginning to look and feel a lot like summer these days. So, it’s time to put your brightest foot forward, get out those bright colored outfits and show them off. You can wear different shades one color for a monochromatic look, or you can mix your colors to make a color block outfit.

Summer days gonna have me looking like a box of Crayola in these streets. Tapping into all the colors in the color spectrum. Showing up to events live and in living color and you know I’m extra so, the brighter the color the more epic the outfit.

Forget the rules about clashing! You will be amazed at how two colors come together. That’s the power of color blocking; its playing around with colors until you find the perfect combo. Color blocking outfits is one way to standout and look fashionable at the same time.

The wearing of bright colors is really a trial and error thing. Playing with colors will help you to be more adventurous and you will be able to tell quickly what looks good and what doesn’t. You will begin to feel more comfortable to try new looks.

Remember you can add color to your outfit with your accessories too. Wearing neutrals (Black, white and gray) and adding colorful accessories is always a good idea. Neutrals are your friend. You can always fit a neutral in your color blocking scheme to tone it down or to add sophistication.

As you can see I’m out in all my glory with this bright color block outfit and you already know there is a story behind the whole look. So, it’s story time! LOL…

Let me start with the pants first since it was the first piece I got. This lovely wide leg color block pants is from The Style Mixx. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and I was like I want that. I got the pants, that was the easy part. What about the top? I searched for weeks for the right color top, with no success. I was depressed, like for real, real…

I wasn’t gonna give up though. I continued to search until I found this store name Kosmios on Instagram and bomb I found the right color top. Absolutely love the high low cut of the top and it fits perfectly. I am still amazed at the fact that it matched the red orange in the pants so well.

Now for accessories, since I was already so lit in colors I decided to add a neutral to tone the look down a bit. Gold was the choice! My gold shoes (old) are from Gojane, transparent with gold trim bag (old) is from Boohoo, bracelet (old) from Burlington and the earrings and rings from Forever21. And there you have it, my color block outfit… Do you love or nah?

Let’s talk about this hairstyle for minute. My outfit was way too fire for my hairstyle to be simple and plain, nah! This is the reason why I love braids because you can always create different looks and this look definitely had me feeling like an African Queen. I don’t think I mastered the way the style should be done but I think I did a good enough job seeing that it was my first try. Tell me what y’all think.

I have taken up enough of your time telling stories but, forgive me. It’s the teacher in me! Try playing around with some colors like I did and show me what you come with.

As usual thank you all for reading. If you are on Instagram please follow me @Kass_stylz and on Facebook @Kerry Scott. Have a color blocking day my loves…
