Hosting at Macy's Backstage...
Hey guys! Welcome back to my platform, I hope you enjoyed reading my last blog post about my cruise to The Bahamas. Today I’m here to filling you in on what I’ve been up to since I’m on summer break. I have to find things to occupy my time. I’m like a kid, after two weeks on break I’m ready to go back to work because I get bored. This post will be short and spicy!
With that being said, to kick off my adventurous summer break I got the opportunity to host Macy’s Backstage, "Fall into Summer Fashion Event." I was delighted that I got ask to work with such an amazing brand as Macy’s. After I said yes to taking the job, my nerves began to act up. I develop something call ‘excitinervous’ and I was like that for days.
Then, I took a deep breath and said to myself, “How bad can it be?” After all I stand in front of kids to teach everyday and they can be a tough audience. They are blunt and tell you exactly what’s on their mind, they don’t care if they are hurting your feelings. And so, I told myself that I am going to show up and kill shit.
I know some of us are not familiar with Macy’s Backstage. So, this is Macy’s discount store that is found within a Macy’s location. Consider it Macy’s outlet store. Macy’s Backstage is off price, on trend and they have styles arriving daily.
I am extremely happy to be able to share what I love to do with others and even happier to hear that they like what I do. I had an amazing audience, they participated and asked questions. I’ll let you see firsthand from the videos below.
As you saw in the video, I was my usual bubbly self. I just pretended I was in front of my class at school and everything went well. Didn’t feel a once of nerves, thank God, just me eating the Hs off the words. LOL… Other than my patois interference, I think I’m ready to take on some more hosting jobs. Brands, holler at your girl. Shoot me an email…
I would not be able to do what I do without the love and support of my family and friends. Those near and far, those who came to support me and those who sent their love from afar. My only words are, “Thank you!” You all made my day; I am forever grateful and thank God for blessing me with such an amazing support system.
I said this post would be short and spicy. I just wanted to share with you guys what went down as I hosted my first event. Now that you’ve seen a few pictures and video clips, what are your thoughts? Do you think I did a good job? Please share in the comments section.
