You hear the word slip and you automatically think undergarment but that’s not it at all. The slip dress trend is here and won’t be going anywhere since its basically managed to plan itself in our closet as a piece that can be easily transitioned from season to season.
The slip dress is mostly made out of silk or satin fabric and is cut on the bias and features spaghetti straps. Some ladies may shy away from wearing this figure-hugging piece but if styled right anyone can pull off a slip dress look.

Seeing that we are in the fall season; the fashion gals favorite time of the year - you can easily transition the slip dress by layering a turtleneck under your dress, add some combat boots or booties to complete the look. If you are in a warmer climate like me, then taking a biker jacket with you for the evening time when it gets cooler is suggested. You will be looking fashion forward but most importantly you will be warm.
Soon after winter will be approaching, and we will be taking the slip dress there with us. Again, layering will be playing an important role. I would suggest adding a chunky sweater, some knee-high boots and you will be good to go.
And just like that we are back to some warm days! The slip can be easily styled with some sandals or even sneakers for a streetstyle look. The evenings maybe cool so I would suggest walking with a denim jacket to put over your shoulders. A blazer will work great at this time of the year too.
Longer days and time to stay outdoors for long, summer is here. Yes, we are taking the slip dress with us. This time we can wear it to the beach for a walk or even dress it up by wearing heels for a sexy date night or brunch. A pro tip is to add a belt, chop up the look and show off your features.
