The Wrap Dress...
Hey my loves! How are y’all doing? I have been staying in because outside is not for me. That heat is no joke. Please keep cool and hydrated… Anyway, let me get to the meat of the matter.
Its summer and that means comfort and style is in high demand, well at least for me. It’s so darn hot outside the only clothing that comes to mind is a dress. Furthermore, if you wanna feel like a woman wear a dress, not my words but the words of Diane Von Furstenberg back in 1974 when she debuted her iconic wrap dress.
Wearing a wrap dress is very flattering to the body as it defines the waist, lift the bust and gives you that hour glass shape we all seek. After learning this I want to own a few more wrap dresses.
A wrap dress is perfect for the summer and all year round because whether you gain a few pounds or lose a few your dress will still fit. Isn’t that a good thing? Of course, I wish all clothes was like that.
The magic lies in the wrapping ladies, it can disguise and camouflage troubled areas like our tummy. Oh, don’t forget to wear your spanx for extra smoothness. The V-neck line works well with both small and large busts. A good bra will fix any problems you have in that area.
My decision to wear a wrap dress came about when I bought this amazing ankle wrap wedge shoes from ShoeDazzle. Once I got it and did a fitting I immediately saw myself in a beautiful wrap dress, on a country side. So, I went dress hunting.
You know me, I wanna look fly on a budget so when I found my wrap dress at Rainbow for just $15.97 you know I couldn’t let that pass. I quickly went to the fitting room to try it on and then checked out with a 10% off coupon I got for signing up for Rainbow emails.
What’s a blog post with out a story? LOL… Anyway, my husband and I went to Target about two weeks ago. Let me just say I love Target! As soon as we walked in I saw this cute little woven straw bag with colored pompoms. I said to myself, I want that bag but how can I bamboozle Tappa to buy it for me. We walked around the store and got what we went for and on our way to check out I went towards the bag and yelled, “Babe, get me this bag please!” He was not having it, he said, “No what are you gonna do with that little thing anyway and don’t you have enough bags?” I put the bag down, put on my little cry baby face and walked away. He went to the shelf, got the bag and handed it to me (inserts happy dance). There you have it, the story behind this beautiful little bag, it was $24.
Do you love my cross earrings? They are from Citi Trends for just $3 and don’t ask about the Dior sun glasses. I borrowed them from my sister and didn’t return them so they belong to me now. Hehe! Stop judging me…
As always, thank you for reading my blog. Don’t forget to leave a comment to let me know your thoughts and please check me out and follow me on Instagram @Kass_stylz and Facebook @Kerry Scott.
