Cruising to the Bahamas...

Hey my loves! How have you been? I’ve been really tired and drained. Getting my students ready for testing has really taken a toll on me. I need to rejuvenate, regroup and return for the last leg of school before we go on summer break.

I’ve been dreaming of somewhere tropical; having an ice-cold coconut, some pineapples, walking on the beach while sipping on a Pina Colada. Can you imagine that? Some of you may say I live in the sunshine state of Florida and that’s tropical enough. No baby, you see that Caribbean sun, the cool breeze against your face, the people, the food, just the whole vibe; it’s different. You can not bottle or bag that and sell it. You must be there and experience it for yourself.

So, long story short, some ladies and I will be cruising to the Bahamas. Next Thursday at this time we will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas and I can hardly wait. This will be my first time visiting the Bahamas and that gives me an extra gush of excitement. First stop after finding my cabin is the bar. Don’t judge me, I need to get acquainted with the person that will be serving my drinks.

Anyways, this is my second cruise, so I am familiar with the ins and outs. On my first cruise we docked at three different islands; Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Labadee, Haiti (a private island owned by Royal Caribbean). I had a grand time on that cruise, and I am looking forward to having an amazing time on this one especially because I’ve never been to the Bahamas.

As I wait to board the ship and set sailing into the Bahamas, I decided to channel some vacation vibes right here at home. I went for a walk on South Beach, Fort Pierce. Bet you didn’t know we had a South Beach too, nahhh!

I took a stroll and got my feet wet in the perfect jumpsuit from StyleWe. I said perfect jumpsuit because of the sleeves, print, the fit and the fabric is very light and flowy; making it easy to dry if it gets wet. Jumpsuits, especially in vibrant colors make a good vacation outfit. It can easily be dressed up or down. In addition, it’s easy to pack and will give you more space to pack other things you need.

Accessories take your outfits to the next level. Going to a Caribbean destination is the time to pull out that straw hat you’ve had for months. Mine is from Forever21. With sunshine comes the sunglasses and this pearl rim number is from TJMaxx. So, we are bringing out the straw hats but equally fitting are the straw bags and my little cutie is from Target. It came with the colorful pompoms that added extra zest. PVC shoes are still trending and mine is from Amazon. Grab one, they go with absolutely everything. Another great accessory to take with you on vacation. They can be worn with multiple outfits.

After walking on the beach and getting sand all over my feet I had to make sure I’m sand free before entering the car. So, to the pipe I went. I almost got soaked because I accidentally pushed the wrong nob and water came pouring down on me. LOL… It was so funny, I screamed so loud you would think water has never touched my body.
